GameMaker Awards 2026 nominations are open
Nominate GameMaker games and community members in four categories until 29 October. Every finalist gets a 12-month GameMaker Enterprise licence.

Nominations for the GameMaker Awards 2026 opened on 8 October, and they run until 29 October 2026. GameMaker is asking its community to submit their own games and to nominate the games, people and resources they love.
There are four categories. Best Game 2026 is for GameMaker games fully released in the last 12 months, and Most Anticipated 2026 is for upcoming GameMaker games. Community Legend 2026 recognises a person who elevates GameMaker for others, such as meetup hosts and tutorial makers, and Community Resource 2026 covers the best website, video, tutorial or group.
A judging panel will pick ten finalists each for Best Game and Most Anticipated, which then go to a public vote. For the two community categories, the panel will choose five Community Legend and five Community Resource awards without a vote. Every finalist receives a finalist logo, a 12-month GameMaker Enterprise licence and the chance to take part in an upcoming GameMaker Steam sale. Winners also get a winners logo, more promotion and, for Best Game and Most Anticipated, a trophy.
Why it matters: if you have shipped or are building a GameMaker game, this is a free shot at visibility. The licence alone is useful for finalists, and the nomination form is short.
