The Blender Foundation published its recap of Blender Conference 2026 (BCON26) on 13 October. The conference took place in Amsterdam in late September at the Felix Meritis venue, bringing together artists, developers and contributors from the Blender community.

According to the recap, more than 700 attendees from over 50 countries took part over three days, and 126 speakers presented across four stages, adding up to more than 100 hours of programme. The post also lists the ten talks attendees rated highest, from color science for digital artists to OpenPBR materials and real-time viewport tricks.

Feedback was described as positive, with satisfaction "extremely high" and slightly up on the previous year. Over 60% of respondents now attend as part of their job, and 79% plan to return next year. Recordings were uploaded to BCON26 playlists on PeerTube and YouTube. The conference also marked 20 years of Blender Open Movies with an exhibition of all seventeen films.

Why it matters: Blender is a core tool for many game artists, and BCON is where its roadmap, studio work and community techniques come together. If you missed it, the recorded talks are a free way to catch up on current Blender workflows that carry straight into game asset production.
