I like Star Wars games and usually this games are resource intensive. Jedi Power Battles delivers something that you’d think would be more common in Star Wars games: the simple joy of using a lightsaber to slash through hundreds of enemies with a partner by your side. It’s not the prettiest or deepest game, but it’s fun, and it does feature a solid selection of prequel-era Jedi. There are even quite a few unlockable characters and levels if you really get into the game. And while the Dreamcast version is easily the best, even the Game Boy Advance port isn’t too shabby. The Rogue Squadron pilots are really the unsung heroes of the Star Wars universe, taking down two Death Stars and an army of AT-ATs, and the Rogue Squadron series rightly shines a light on them. A superb set of action-orientated flight sims, Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader was the best of the bunch. Putting you in control of practically every aerial ship at the Rebel Alliance’s disposal (as well as some Easter Egg secret craft) it looked stunning, making clever use of the Nintendo Gamecube hardware. It also had some cracking missions dotted all over the Star Wars universe, including a super-tough level over the mining planet Bespin.

Can you play it? PlatinumGames is known for its innovative and stylish action games, from the Bayonetta series to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and others. But the Japanese developer’s greatest feat is Nier: Automata, led by renowned director Yoko Taro. Nier: Automata features some of the best action gameplay of this console generation, along with expert twin-stick shooting sequences and a world as bizarre as it is brilliant. Nier: Automata isn’t just extremely fun to play, though. It also happens to tell one of the most well-realized, philosophical stories, revolving around existentialism. In a bold move, it takes three full playthroughs to watch the entire story unfold. While that may sound annoying, we promise it’s a devilishly smart tactic. Video games often get lambasted for their weak stories, but Nier: Automata delivers on its vision in a way that very few games do.
Monster video strain resource game pick of the day : To this day, no Assassin’s Creed game has come as close to photo-realism as Assassin’s Creed Unity, a game that, when it runs, looks jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Though the lack of proper optimization was, and to some extent still is, a cause of the hefty hardware this game requires, the majority of the title’s requirements stem from its sheer visual caliber. With the massive crowds, god-ray-lighted stained-glass windows of Notre Dame and concealing shadows of grimy Parisian back alleys, this game is a time machine that plops players into an almost lifelike re-creation of the French Revolution. Recommended specs: CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i7-3770, 4GHz AMD FX-8350 – RAM: 8GB – Storage: 50GB – GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780, AMD Radeon R9 290X (3GB) – OS: 64-Bit Windows 7, 8 Source: System requirements.
